Second post for the last day of 2012 to make up for the lack of updates in the last 3 months!
I'm gonna do some recap of what happened through out 2012 and mind you, it's a very happening one for me. Parts of me are glad that I survived such a busy year!
January & February - Work
March - Trip to Melbourne! :)
April, May, June and July - Work work workkkkk
August - Trip to South Korea!! :D
September - Work
October - Good friend's wedding and work.
November - Work
December - Trip to Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur! XD
2012 has got to be the best year in terms of travelling but it's the worst in terms of health. I've lost count the number of times I fell sick or hurt myself. Every time I met up with my friends, they'll be like, "You're sick...again?!"
In terms of work, it's CRAZY!!! No kidding, busiest year ever! Work just came in for us every day and we're so swarmed with so much work that I looked forward to every single holidays. Yeap, even the public holidays! Work goes on even when we get home until late night which nobody will ever know unless you've been in this profession before. Who said we have free time after 12:30 pm again? Come and try for a week and I bet you'll run away before it ends! All of us need more helping hands!
:)
Anyways....
I finally finished blogging about my trip to Melbourne but there's so much more travelling posts to go! Trip to Korea was a really last minute decision but it's the most exciting to date!
Visited so many cafes and even went to SM Town's concert in Seoul on 18th of August! OMG the concert was awesome! Saw DBSK performing live again after so many years! Though it's just Yunho and Changmin, they did so well! I am still keeping the faith that they will be DB5K again in the future. I'll keep the details for future post. And another highlight of the trip was, I SAW MY BELOVED BIAS FROM BEAST UP CLOSE LIKE LESS THAN AN ARM'S LENGTH AWAY AT CUBE CAFE OH MY GODDDDD. YONG JUN HYUNG ♥♥♥
T___________T
It was a total surprise! Was about to give up and leave after asking the Korean fans there if Beast was gonna be there that day and then he just appeared suddenly! Just him alone with Jintaek manager~ Apparently he left something at the studio and he came back to collect it.
THANK YOU MY LUCKY STARS!!
17th of August 2012, another date to remember.
=)
But the day before that, something sad happened but it's kind of complicated so I will leave that to a future post.
Then there's my last minute trip to Hong Kong!
Why did I go to Hong Kong this year when I just went there last year?
BIG BANG
=D
Yes, it's all because of BIG BANG! When YG announced that BB will make a stop at Hong Kong for their Alive Galaxy Tour in December, I knew I just had to go. Was very glad that I could make it to the first day of their 3 days concert in Hong Kong with my colleague and another Hong Kong friend.
Guys, it was the best night, right??
That feeling of being in the concert with all the other VIPs singing, screaming and having fun with Big Bang... 8th of December 2012, I will never forget~
This concert alone deserves a separate post so please wait for it.
And then when I was in Kuala Lumpur, it just so happened that the day we went to Times Square was also the day that Jackie Chan had his movie promotion!
OMG
Jackie Chan? Seriously, I don't know anyone who does not know him!! He looks exactly the same as he's on tv!
This recap is getting too long cause it's too star studded LOL
Thank you to my lucky stars that made travelling so much fun this year! Nope, not gonna spoil future posts by posting the pictures here! Spoilers are not fun~
Opps! Forgot to add my wishlist for 2012!
Here's my wishlist for 2012: 1) Good health & enough rest 2) Better time management 3) Better self management (temper, habits, emotions etc) 4) Travel to at least a new place 5) Better financial management
As seen from my lengthy recap above, number 1's out of the door, number 2, 3 and 5 too! The only thing that I did this year is to travel to a new place and that is Melbourne.
So here I present my wishlist for 2013.
My wishlist for 2013:
1) To fall sick less often.
2) To do better in work.
3) To manage time and money more wisely.
4) To travel to at least a new place.
5) To meet all 6 members of Beast, all 5 members of FT Island, all 5 members of Mayday and JJ Lin. Ok, I just want to go to their concerts!
Wishlist's not much different from the previous one but I just hope I would be able to fulfill them in 2013.
After we left Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm, we stopped by at Arthurs Seat for some views. Be prepared for lots of greens and blues! It's gonna be so good for your eyes and you'll feel calm. I hope! :P
Arthurs Seat. 305m.
It was so hot in the afternoon!
Viewing tower.
The big, green, old & hot chair.
HAHA
Wanted to sit on it to take a photo but it was really too hot and I didn't want my leggings to stick on it LOL
Maybe another time~
Arthurs Hotel that is right across the road from the green chair.
Beautiful view when you turn to the right.
Tried my best to capture the view on the left but I guess I am not tall enough to exclude other visitors who were enjoying the beautiful view~
After taking some photos, we continued to go downhill. The heat was unbearable so we didn't go to the park.
Anyway, if you are interested in Arthurs Seat, do click here for directions/info or here for some of its history.
So, on the way downhill, we stopped by at Murrays Lookout.
Murrays Lookout. 247m.
Beautiful!
Mother nature is so beautiful!
Really!
A ring in the water~
That was where we came from.
This picture does not show how steep the road is!!
You gotta be really careful when you take photos at Murrays Lookout cos you're halfway on the hill/slope!
*balance*
When we got off the hill, we were a little lost with the way back so Karen stopped the car at this waterfront to check on her phone and gps. I'm sorry for being a bad navigator :S
I can't recall the name of this place so I'm just gonna call it the waterfront. It's about 10 to 15 minutes from Murrays Lookout.
Being the touristy me, I brought the camera out to snap some photos of some breathtaking views.
It was really hot but the beautiful views are worth it!
Beautiful, right?
So many shades of blue, turquoise and green!
People enjoying the calm of the seaside~
Ahhh.... great life~
A toddler that was about to chase the seagull.
Decided to change his mind and retreated back to his/her parents.
^^
My most favourite photo taken from that waterfront.
After some time, we continued our journey to the next destination.
Couldn't concentrate on the phone or gps cos the view outside's just too beautiful! Look at the turquoise of the sea! The blue sky and white clouds! And, look at how CLEAN the roadside is!!
*ahem*
The view in front's not bad too.
I'd like to stay in one of those houses one day. Or maybe just one of the hotels or guesthouses there~
We finally arrived here(last destination on our itinerary before dinner) at about 4.30pm!
That's a little sneak peek of next post! :P
I know teasing is not a good thing but I need to reorganise the photos for the next post cause there's too many! Trust me!
'Trust me' reminds me 'Not me' by Beast. Haha here you go with the dance practice video~
Random much!
Source: hawoosin@youtube
My third favourite track off their latest mini album, Midnigh Sun! Love the choreo by Prepix Haw! Especially the spinning parts!
Foodie trip to Kuala Lumpur, December 2011 - Day 1 & 2 ~
Hey guys! What's up? It's Brunei's Armed Forces Day today so most of us got a day off. I am so glad for a day off cause it has been ages since I had a good rest. Life's so crazy for the past week. I could hardly do anything once I get home every evening cause I'd be so dead tired. Working for around 11 hours every day for a week is crazy! Sometimes I even wonder if I should just quit and find something else that I really love to do.
*sigh*
Anyway, my plan for today is to update this blog and just relax at home. Here's a song that is being replayed a lot this week!
Btob - Irresistible Lips
They are Beast's juniors and I must say they are quite good! This song reminds me a lot of Beast's Fiction. I miss my boys so much! I am anticipating their comeback next month! I love this song although I didn't really like the music video.
Alright, with this song on repeat, I present my delayed yummy post on my eating and relaxing trip to Kuala Lumpur last December. Please leave this page if you are hungry, on a diet or offended by non-halal food pictures. You've been warned! :)
Kuala Lumpur (KL) - Day 1 & 2
Itinerary: Board flight, eat and shopping!
Chicken focaccia and pancakes during our flight. Love! Please pre-book your meal at AirAsia.com. ♥ ♥ ♥
Iced milk tea, iced yin yong and iced green tea latte from Kim Gary Restaurant.
KGR is a place that is a must visit for me whenever I drop by KL.
It's a huge ass cup! Couldn't finish it!
♥ ♥ ♥
We were really hungry and we wanted to eat ASAP so I ordered this, Fried Spaghetti with Pork Fillet.
Personally, I prefer the one with beef but this is still good. If we had more time, I'd have ordered my favourite, Hong Kong style baked rice with cheese and pork chop/beef. OMG, I really want some now! Anyway, KGR is at Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang. For more information(menu!), here's their website.
The next day, I met up with two friends who were studying in KL.
While waiting for my friend to arrive from her uni, I took some photos of the beautiful Christmas decorations at Pavilion, KL.
The cupcake at the top was actually revolving! Sorry, no videos~
Carousel! So pretty!
Finally got to see my friend again after months! We caught up over lots of food. No kidding! Sometime in the afternoon, another friend, who I'd not seen for ages, joined us for tea and dinner.
First stop, Watami for Japanese food.
I wanted to find this ramen place but I didn't remember the name so we just randomly entered this place.
Our lunch!
I forgot what we ordered but there're tofu and scallops! YUMS! Even that bowl of salad on the bottom left's so good!
Ok, I checked out the menu from their website! Lucky you!
Atsuage Mentai Cheese (top left), Hotate Butter Yaki (top right).
Salad and sushi came with our ramen set. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
We shared a shoyu ramen. Not bad but not what I expected. ♥ ♥
Our dessert!
This is the bomb!!
Matcha (green tea) tiramisu! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Click here for Pavilion's website and here for Watami's website. Click here for the menu page!! Ok, I wanna go back there again!
We had tea at Old Town, also at Pavilion, after some shopping. After more chit chats, we continued to shop.
Dinner's Korean food from Pavilion's food court at its basement.
Ddukbukki, kimbap, kimchi chiage, bulgogi and seafood pajeon~
I'd say only the ddukbukki and bulgogi are up to standard.
But it's ok, it's food court food so you don't ask for too much, right?
We went to Delectable, on Pavilion's 4th floor to get some sweet stuff.
It was pretty late already so these were what's available.
So pretty!
Huge macarons with pretty and cute ribbons!
Cupcakes and cookies.
What my friend got for herself and her friends.
What I got~
:)
Taste was alright but I'd definitely head back to try other stuff.
If you are interested, click here for their facebook page.
I had a lovely day catching up with lovely friends over awesome food and shopping! I am looking forward to my annual trip to KL! Yes, it's December again! ^^
Alright, I'm done with this post. You think this is the end of my KL post? Hehe... be prepared for more yummier photos in the next update or future updates!
This post is just a preview ;)
I was busy preparing for going back to school tomorrow and the days to come during the last few days of 2011 so I never got the chance to write a summary or recap of 2011.
2011 had been an exciting and busy year for me. Before I recap what I'd done in 2011, let's see what I had wanted to achieve.
Below is part of my post from the last day of 2010 and let's see if I'd fulfilled any of my wishes~
Wow one of my goals for 2011 is to save a lot of money HAHA call me kiam or whatever~
Now, here are my wishes for 2011:
1) Good health for everyone like, seriously? that's the most important right?
2) A bank account that has more isi HAHA
3) Perform better in work and possess the super power to mark books really fast. HAHA
3) Spend more time with my friends. I'm sooo sorry! It's so tiring to hang out after work on working nights man. *sniff sniff*
4) More 'me' time! lol this is to squeeze in animes and dramas hohoho
5) Always keep my room clean and tidy. Aiyoh must increase to cleaning twice a week now!
6) Must make sure I have at least 7 hours of sleep daily.
7) Travel to NEW places.
8) Brush up my foreign languages. I feel so guilty man. Need to brush up my nihongo and italiano especially the later cos it's been agesssss mi dispiace insegnante!
9) Get a digital camera. OMG this has been on my list for so many years but it never happen HAHA
10) Be more organised or rather, better time management.
My my, did I blog with so much 'HAHA' back in 2010?
:S
Anyway, sadly my ultimate goal to save a lot did not happen in 2011. I'll think about that and see if it's still a goal that I can achieve in 2012. 2011 had been a year that I've visited the doctor very frequently. It totaled up the the number of times I'd been to the doctor all the years before 2011! I really don't wish the same thing to happen again.
I can confidently admit that I did spend quality times with my friends but I know that's still not enough. I guess a better time management is the key. I thought I'd have more 'me' time but I was so wrong. In fact I was swarmed with lots of projects that take me out of the school and district. Yeah, present tense cause it has not ended. Sad, I know.
I think I need to remove #5 cause it's just impossible! haha I am after all, the queen of reasons, as named by my friends~ I seriously need to check with myself for that!
Sleep? Mmmm... just like #4, I'll need better time management. The ONLY highlighted wish was #7 and that was the only wish that REALLY happened in 2011. I traveled to Hong Kong and South Korea for the first time in 2011! XD
#8? I did nothing for that! T^T Sorry!
I am going to ditch #9! I must have been out of my head for listing that back then!! #10 is such an important wish!! What was I thinking to put it at the last place in 2010?? No wonder the rest never happened!
*headache*
Now, a lil recap for 2011.
January 2011 was a busy month as it was back to school time. February, March, April and May just flew by as I was buried by work and some changes in my work place. June brought me to Hong Kong, Macau and Kuala Lumpur for a week. It was a really rushed and badly planned trip but it's ok. I will plan better next time!
July were just any other month and in August, I went to South Korea and its beautiful Jeju Island for the first time. It was an unexpected trip cause I initially wanted to go to Japan but life is a funny thing, no? September to November were even busier than the first half of 2011 and my health was really terrible too! Fever, cough, flu, skin allergies... you name it, I got them. December 2011 was a month that I caught up with some old friends and another trip to Kuala Lumpur.
Overall, after working for two years, I've learned to do my work better. Traveling to new places also open up my mind to the world that's so wide and filled with so many things. 2011, Thank You for all that you'd shown me.
The way I blog and the posts that I'd churned out in 2011 also changed. This blog is more on food and traveling as compared to the years before. We're always learning, growing and adapting...
What will 2012 be like? We have 363 days to see~
Here's my wishlist for 2012:
1) Good health & enough rest
2) Better time management
3) Better self management (temper, habits, emotions etc)
4) Travel to at least a new place
5) Better financial management
Let's all buckle up for 2012! Hope you guys will have an amazing year! And please, less natural disaster. It's sad to see people losing their lives, homes, jobs and loved ones.
Ending this post with...my current most favourite song from JJ Lin's latest album, Lost N Found.
JJ Lin 林俊傑 - 靈魂的共鳴
Source : nec9650@youtube
He performed with the famous pianist, 郎朗(Lang Lang) at Lang Lang's concert before he released his album! OMG that's ONE AMAZING performance! PURE ART! T^T Beautiful! Now, I can't wait for the MV! I'm sure Lang Lang's gonna be featuring in it!
Source : jjfo327@youtube
Since I'm on the topic of Lang Lang, he recently also did a collaboration with one of my favourite Korean Groups, BEAST during the 2011 MAMA!
Source : Mnet@youtube
T.T
It was every b2uty's dream for Beast to perform the orchestra version of Fiction and it's even better with Lang Lang's awesome piano skills and the whole orchestra band!
Sorry that I ended with 3 videos instead! Oh yeah, congratulations for getting the song of the year from KBS!
OMG I have not blogged since Christmas! And that is exactly 2 weeks! LOL
I wanted to do a 'picture story' post cos my hand suddenly want to draw BUT my mind stopped it cos of a problem.
I can't scan pictures or any files at the moment.
=(
So sad.
My laptop is in KL now cos the screw at the LCD screen broke(since April but it was ok until... October) and the screen has been broken ever since then and the people here couldn't fix it. Why didn't I install my 3 in 1 printer to another laptop? Cos the laptop which I am using at the moment runs on vista and my old printer is incompatible with it!
=S
I tried updating the software BUT there's no updates! HP ah, please do something! What should I do with my useful and important printer when my old laptop dies one day? I think it'll survive for another 2 years top seeing that it's 3 years and 5 months old now!
I want to get the Dell Studio 15 cos it's awesome? But why everywhere no stock har?!
=(
Also, another reason for not updating is that I am too busy. Barely slept at all every night cos the new school term has just started and there're so many things a class teacher's got to do. Going on more about my work will bore you to pineapples so yeah period.
I know it's very late to say this but it's only the 7th day of 2010 so... HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wish good health and better luck to whoever that sees this post.
=D
New year resolution?
Just ONE!
To NOT let small things get to me easily.
Or else I'm afraid I'll be swamped with stressness!
That's why tonight, I'm not gonna do anything related to work. Nuh-uh~
I'm gonna be in front of the laptop playing games on FB, hopping between blogs, reading manga, updating with the latest gossip anddddd blogging! Which, I am doing right now.
XD
Wow! This is the longest post to date here EVER! LOL
Have a great year ahead everyone! Here's a new saucy music video for y'all. Hyuna, ex member of the super famous Wonder Girls, current member of one of the famous rookie groups, 4minute!
Hyuna - Change featuring Beast's Jun Hyung
Source: TwirlyBox@youtube
I changed the skin of this blog and so a 'change' song LOL
Okay, I know I sound lame but maybe you can relate the lyrics to things that you wanna change this year? ;)
PS: JunHyung! My most favourite member from the rookie band, Beast! Teehee!
