Going to have pasta and pizza later! :D

Melbourne (March 2012) - Day 3, Part 1
We had a mini road trip down south to the Mornington Peninsula for a day! Yay! Time to see Melbourne's beautiful beaches! I'm going to split Day 3 into a few parts cos I took a lot of photos using the LUMIX DMC-GX1. So yeah, better quality photos compared to those taken using my mobile phone!
We left home at around 8am in the morning and the weather for that day's sunny. Perfect! Stopped by
Glen Waverly for breakfast on our way but the restaurant/cafe that we wanted to go was not opened yet. Karen wanted to bring me to have some awesome
yong tau fu! No luck that day! :(
So we grabbed some bread from
Breadtop 包店 (website here and facebook here) and ate in the car. Breadtop is a franchised bakery that can be found through out Australia so do look up their sites for store locations. I think I had a ham croissant and chocolate butter cake. Both are quite good! Especially the chocolate butter cake!!
I don't remember which road we took cause there's the highway and freeway.
We stopped by
Mornington Visitor Information Centre to find out where we can see some colourful beach huts(one of the things that I planned to see for this trip). We were told there are a few nearby and so with the directions given by the lovely lady working at the information centre, we went to the small stretch of beach near
Mornington Boat Hire Bait and Tackle.
That's the satellite view of that place. The star's where we went.
Real photos!
Yay! Was so happy to see those beach huts!
That's the Mornington Boat Hire Bait and Tackle!
Zoom in for a clearer view.
So much cloud in the sky! Oh no, please do not rain!
A grandma who we met when we were parking our car was bringing her dog out for a walk at the beach.
Steps down to the beach! Woohoo!
Kyaaaaaa~
*big shining eyes*
SOOOOO colourful and beautiful!!
If only the sky was brighter, I'm sure the pictures will turn out nicer but never mind, I got to see them pretty beach huts!
:D
More!
A pelican one! Cute?
Come on, this sea lion one is cute right!
Mermaid riding a seahorse?
O.o
Striped ones!
How I wish I am the owner of one of those! Imagine looking at the beautiful beach, listening to the waves, drinking some chilled juice and reading a good book!
Ahhhh.... Life~
Spotted a seagull!
Spotted the grandma and her dog somewhere near us too!
Sun decided to come out!
Weeeee~
If you look carefully, you'll be able to see a little girl in the water, the father talking to that grandma and two other women laying down on the right. ;)
The grandma's dog came to us!
We learnt that its name is Fudge.
He ran and stopped to wait for the grandma all the time. Such a sweet dog.
Hi Fudge!
He's got really smooth, silky and healthy fur. I know cos we patted his head hehe
While Karen was talking with the grandma, I took another photo of Fudge!
The sand and water looked so dreamy with the sun out.
We decided to move on to our next destination after a while.
Grandma and Fudge continued to have their daily walk.
Those were the steps that we took just now. We left using another set of steps on the other side where I was standing to take this photo.
Back view of those colourful beach huts!
We walked by the roadside to get back to our car at the parking lot.
Got back into our car and headed to our next destination!
Such a peaceful town! I only met elderly people the whole morning. Even the people that we saw around the town are elderly people! Well, I guess it's a really nice and quiet place for people to lead a relaxing life. I wouldn't mind staying there for a longer period of time!
It was an adventure going to the next destination. Without noticing the time, the types of trees and also scenery have already change.
Yeap! We're heading to the mountains! Or maybe not but we did pass a mountain to get to the other side of the peninsula.
We actually missed this junction and went slightly down the road but luckily a friendly person helped us out by giving directions. Australians are really friendly!
Horses living their blissful lives~
Purple flowers by the road side that was so close that I could even stick my hand out to touch them!
Finally arrived at our next desination!
To be continued....
Have a great weekend guys!
:)
I'm off to brunch!
