Foodie trip to Kuala Lumpur, December 2011 Part 2 and movies!
Hey guys!
It's Friday again! Have you got any plans up your sleeves for the weekend?
I went to the movies yesterday and managed to watch two awesome movies. Watched Snow White and the Huntsman with my colleagues in the afternoon and then Madagascar 3 with my family at night. I'd rate Snow White and the Huntsman 9.5/10. It's a good movie, fast paced with great actress, Charlize Theron and a twisted story from the original Snow White. I like it and enjoyed the movie. I did not realise I was paying full attention for the whole 120 minutes? Wow! But there's just something missing there and I can't pinpoint it at the moment therefore a 0.5 deduction.
As for Madagascar 3, it's TOTALLY AWESOME! It's a 20/10! hahaa YES! It's better then good! If you are stressed or bored, just watch this movie. It's as good as its predecessors! Or rather, even better! We laughed at every single minute. Okay, the whole crowd! :P
Here's the trailer if you are not interested yet!
My favourite part is from 1:08 to 1:16! MUAHAHA...
The new characters are so funny! Especially the sea lion and also the Frech policewoman who reminds me so much of my high school Maths teacher! HAHA
I want to watch Madagascar 3 again! Who's up for it?
:)
Alright, now... to the part 2 of my KL trip. Click here for the first part.
Since the remaining days were just eating and shopping with sister and niece, I'll let the photos do the talking. Oh yeah, almost 95% of the photos that I'm going to post are photos of food that are non-halal. Please stop scrolling down if you will feel offended. :)
Kuala Lumpur (KL) - Day 3
Breakfast: Yin yong nai cha, nai cha and char siu wan tan noodle from U-Village Hong Kong Restaurant, Sungei Wang Plaza.
Wanted to link their fb page or website here but I can't seem to find them. Anyway, it's really easy to find. It's on the ground floor near the back door of Sungei Wang Plaza and it's just right by the road side. You can't miss it! :)
Lunch/tea break : Cakes from Secret Recipe.
Early dinner: Claypot chicken rice.
Below are photos taken from a nigh market out of the city that a friend of my sister brought us to. I don't remember the name of that place. Sorrryyyyyy! We went there a little after 5pm so it was still quite bright.
Fried stuff!
Taiwanese sausages!
They are totally yummy! You have to eat them when you see them! These are available at the food street, Jalan Alor too!
Cakes!
I bought the green tea cake on the right and it was meh....
Smelly beancurd!! Chou tou fu~
Look at the queue! They just started selling!
Queued up for some and it was a bit blown out of proportion. Haha it's not bad but to me, it's just like any other fried tofu that I'd eaten.
Some Chinese biscuits.
Curry balls!
Dim sum.
Fried chicken.
Should have bought one! Aih.. we were too full from the claypot chicken rice!
Doraemon's cake!
So many cartoons to choose from!
And I got a Doraemon one. It's soft and warm but it'd be better if there's some red bean paste or cheese inside. Mmmm...
Clothes~
More cakes and tarts~
Fish ball noodle~
I was told it's one of the most famous around that area!
Handbags~
Drinks~
Contact Lenses! Hmmm.. would you dare to buy from there? :P
Alright, I'll stop here for now cause I've just skimmed through my picture folder, there are quite a lot of photos from Day 4! I'll do that on another day, yeah?
I need to clean my room and get ready to go to the Food Festival tonight! If you are interested, do drop by the stadium at Berakas to check it out! It started yesterday and ends on Sunday. I can't wait to get macarons, cupcakes and other yummy food! Operating hours: 10 am to 10 pm.
